Some of these Crafts are from the old days and some are not. This crafts is not its just something for your girls to do. This craft is a gel mug craft. These crafts are not mine. I just find them and put them on here for your girls to do. You'll need:
  • Ceramic mugs and other candle containers(enough to hold all of the melted gel wax)
  • Gel wax
  • Candle wicks
  • Pencils
  • Pot to melt wax in; gel wax does not melt in microwave
  • Candle scent and color
  • Sharp scissors
Twine the top of the wick around the middle of a pencil. Leave enough of the wick hanging so that it will touch the bottom of the mug or other candle container with no slack. You want the wick to be straight down the center. Place the pencil on top of the mug, so that the wick hangs down the center. Melt gel wax according to the package directions. Add coloring and scent. Carefully pour the gel wax into the container. You may want to sit the container on a paper plate which will catch the wax should your pouring not be on target. Fill all of the containers and allow them to cool completely before moving on. Do check that the wick is straight and down the center of the mug. You can use a pencil to straighten it if there is a need. The gel wax will harden as it cools. Trim the wick with a sharp pair of scissors to about 1/4" height. Enjoy! Well hope you have fun making your gel candles. I hope you have fun. Have a great day and God bless.
